As this is on our doorstep, we went for a look. Our visit was August 2024. Not a great deal to see, but worthy of a look. Free to enter. It's based on the old airport site at the back of the hotel.

Wasn't very large and free to enter with a few aircraft on the old airport of Liverpool. A fun sight to explore for about 10 to 20 minutes.

Very easy to get into ans look around park in the retail park and walk to it only takes 10 minutes well worth a look around for a aviation enthusiast.

Fantastic place to visit although make sure to go on a Saturday when its
open. The kids loved looking around the old planes especialy the one with
the flight simulator built into it, shame it was fully booked the day we visited
but we will be returning soon.

I have been a few times, very knowledgeable people. Having a go at flying the Jetstream 41 is great fun and not expensive.
Recommended.

Great day out for anyone with an interest in aircraft and families alike. Very knowledgeable staff who will happily talk with you about all of their exhibits and the jetstream simulator is as much of a bargain as it is fun.

Visited here today with our 2 year old grandson who loves planes. He was absolutely thrilled to be able to go inside the planes. He loved it. The guys looking after the planes were very helpful and full of brilliant information regarding the planes. Agreat little piece of history right on.our doorstep. Cheers

Visited on a few occasions now, specifically to take photos. I've always found the staff on site to be extremely friendly, welcoming and very informative. You could certainly talk for a good while with them. There are a small number of aircraft to view and step inside and if you fancy taking to the skies you can try the flight simulator. A great little hidden gem to visit and you can always have a drink and meal in the hotel to make a day of it.

Made a visit to the SAHG a few weeks ago with my wife on Saturday when the fabulous volunteers are there. Had a look inside the Percival Princess and the jetstream 41 which are immaculate. The HS748 was in the process of having the Dan Air titles applied and looked fantastic. We had a great chat with the volunteers and i could have spent all afternoon talking with them. My wifes not really into aviation but was happy to come along and she enjoyed her visit too and enjoyed our chat with you all. I thoroughly recommend a visit to SAHG.
